Blue Lake Cave

The Blue Lake Cave is one of the largest flooded caves in the world, located in Bonito. The tour includes a 200-meter trail to the cave’s entrance, where a steep staircase with 300 steps (150 meters high) leads down to the blue-water lake. Visitors can admire the rocks, geological formations, speleothems, and turquoise-blue waters.

Duration: Half-day. Distance: 20 km.

Minimum Age: 6 years and older.

Sneakers and face masks are required. Restrictions: Children under 6 years of age. People with mobility issues / High blood pressure / Labyrinthitis / Heart conditions. Pregnant women may participate in the tour with a doctor’s clearance, due to the requirement to wear a mask because of fungi present in the cave.
