Sucuri River

The Sucuri River Floating Tour is a tour to observe springs, wildlife, and underwater vegetation at the headwaters of the Sucuri River. The tour includes a 500-meter hike and a 1,800-meter float, always accompanied by a local tour guide and a support boat throughout the activity. All equipment used during the activity is included in the tour price. Children aged 4 and older may participate in the float, provided they are accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. In calm waters of extraordinary beauty, the boat tour is an excellent way to explore the Sucuri River and its headwaters; viewed from the surface, the water is so crystal-clear that anything floating on it appears to be floating in the air.

General Information

Duration: Half-day; it’s possible to include a visit to Figueira Beach or Refúgio da Barra on the same day (they’re nearby).

Minimum age: 4 years old (Children ages 0–3 cannot take the tour; they must wait at the farm’s reception area with a guardian).

Distance: 19 km.

The use of sunscreen, insect repellent, and tanning lotions is prohibited

Medical restrictions: Women who are 20 weeks or more into their pregnancy may only take the boat tour; individuals with heart conditions, recent surgeries, epilepsy, labyrinthitis, a history of stroke, asthma, severe allergies, and/or a history of anaphylactic shock.
